Halla Ólafsdóttir

Halla Ólafsdóttir is based in Sweden working with dance and choreography. She graduated with a Masters degree in choreography from the University Collage of Dance in Stockholm. For the past three years Halla has been part of mychoreography and INPEX, creating and performing a number of pieces which have toured to festivals in Sweden, England, Belgium, France, Germany and the United States. Halla is one of the co-founders of the Icelandic company Samsuðan & co which has been producing performances locally and internationally since 2005.
In 2010 she has been touring her piece It´s definitely the spiritual thing in Sweden and Europe and performing in Dorte Olesen´s piece "Impure Thoughts".  She was a part of INPEX editorial team for the production and making of the book The Swedish Dance History at the ImPulsTanz festival 2010.  She recently worked as a choreographer and dancer with Dorte Olesen Production for the piece The Bad The Good The Ugly and premiered the pieces “What a feeling” at Reykjavík Dance Festival and Beauty and the Beast at MDT in Stockholm. Currently working on the remake of Giselle with John Moström and Elizabeth Ward premiering at MDT in the spring.
