THE BAD THE GOOD THE UGLY is a play with three female performers, who fearlessly confront their audience with rage, ugliness and a mythical magic. The cliché of the ideal woman is distorted with a pithy relish, contrasted with that of the ideal man and delightfully and powerfully illustrated with familiar music and film excerpts – all while being debunked.
Born in Denmark, Dorte Olesen has been one of the most successful choreographers in Sweden for several years. Infamous for constantly breaking the rules and for provocation. Central to her work is the question of why breaking through boundaries is still taboo. By provoking her audience, she forces them to reconsider what they see, whether out of rage or delight.
